posted by Mindgutter | Wednesday, January 28, 2009 | 5:29 PM | la_z_guido@hotmail.com So...Sweat It Out from the record label of the one and only AJAX continues to pump out some really fun tunes. One of my favourites from this label is the lovable Edu K. Everyone loves a little Raver Lovin (when you're too high/drunk to experience normal lovin) so I decided to share the love. Edu K - Raver Lovin (Nadastrom Remix) / YSI Speaking of Ajax and Sweat It Out, the sexy man is headlining the re-launch of Kill the Radio in Feb @ the Roxy. So I will see you there (BYO Raver glow sticks). Much (Raver) Love, Mindgutter 2 Comments:Edu K at Playgrounder Weekender, can't wait will be so good

Then Saturday we had a massive bender at our gig at Kiss then Sunday came around and we played a really fun set at Cancun Pool Party and dropped Bohemian Rhapsody. ANYWAY! Dignified and Digified
posted by Mindgutter | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 | 6:40 PM | la_z_guido@hotmail.com Digikid84 has been a long time favourite and friend of TrashbagsKids. Producing tracks with a smooth and infectious 80's Miami synth feel with powerful kick, Digikid84 has been sending shock waves worldwide. His latest efforts of remixing Captain Funk from Japan has been nothing short of amazing. Also, his remix of Resun infuses synth melody with hip hop to create a track oozing with pure and glorious 80's drama. Captain Funk - Hey Boy Hey Girl (Digikid84 Remix) / YSI Resun - Dalorean Driver (Digikid84 Remix) / YSI We're midweek now and about to spill into Thursday which is only 2 painful days from the long weekend! But when that weekend hits, boy will it be explosive. There are a couple of tickets to the Cancun Pool Party this Sunday still available so visit www.socialfest.com.au and grab tix fast! Real O.G. Beats!
posted by Bondy | | 4:28 PM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() Every time I go out to a club it seems at some point of the night I hear danced up old rap tracks. Whether they're East Coast, West Coast, or whatever your style, if they're dropped at the right point of the night (or when you're at the right amount of drunkenness) it'll be a massive hit. These are a few I have heard out and about. Well, all except for the Biggie Smalls track. I only found it a couple of days ago and I haven't been out yet so i'm expecting to hear it this weekend! Notorious B.I.G. - Hypnotize (Cold Blank Remix)/Ysi P Diddy - Bad Boy For Life (LA Mode Remix)/Ysi DMX - Party Up (Mightyfools Remix)/Ysi Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Still D.R.E.(Tenzin Remix)/Ysi I reckon the best of them all is the Notorious track because the dance beat could stand alone if the break down and original track weren't a part of it. The Mightyfools Remix goes well too. If anyone's going I may be at The Simian Mobile Disco and Miami Horror gig this Sunday at Prince Bandroom, if I do go and you see me come say hey! Happy Australia Day for Monday! Bondy 1 Comments:Hey anychance of putting the Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Still D.R.E.(Tenzin Remix)back up? I went into it and it's not working a. Thanks heaps..
Heavy Beats
posted by Mindgutter | Monday, January 19, 2009 | 6:29 PM | la_z_guido@hotmail.com I have to say...I've only recently had time to scour the internet for fresh tunes so a lot of the songs that hit me like a brick to the face have been floating for about a month or so. And I always feel uber guilty about posting tracks that aren't hot off the press. Regardless... If Jack Beats doesn't already feature heavily on your Ipod or in your fully sick camouflage CD case (if you're a dj) then this collection of tracks will shake your world like the heavy bass lines that wobble like all fuck. Project Bassline - Drop The Pressure (Jack Beats 'Rinsed Out Rave' Remix) / (YSI) The AC Slater remix he did will make you want to thrash around like you are having a seizure: AC Slater - Jack Got Jacked (Jack Beats Remix) / (YSI) Highly Recommended Boy 8 - Bit - Fogbank (Jack Beats Remix) / (YSI) Be sure to drop in on Jack Beats myspace and say hello. I'm in ridiculously high spirits this afternoon because this weekend is the Australia Day Long Weekend and it is jam packed with sexy goodness. In particular, I'm really looking forward to the Cancun Pool Party up in Toukley. Visit www.socialfest.com.au for more information and tickets! New Blood
posted by Bondy | Saturday, January 17, 2009 | 9:59 PM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() NB: Just fixed the Zshare link of Edu K Remix - 19/01/09. Hey! My name's Bondy. I am 1/3 of the electronic outfit called Bipolar Badwise, and the newest contributor to the Trashbagskids blogging juggernaut! I hail from Outer Eastern Melbourne in Australia. Everyone who knows me understands that I am very passionate about my music, electronic music in particular. To me music is life; if you look hard enough you will find a song for every emotion you feel. Plus I'd like to thank Telly from Mindgutter for extending the invitation for me to write on this blog, I love to spread and share good music. I'm gonna be bloggin' about all the mad beats I stumble across in my drunken escapades through town, plus the killer events anybody who's anybody should go to in Melbourne. So, let's get into it! These are some tracks I currently have in rotation: Alright, so these guys called BASS WEAZAL added me a couple of months ago on Myspace. At first view and judging by their name I thought they wouldn't be too flash, like one of the b-grade bands that beg for your request. However, I decided to check them out and their sound blew me away. They have this real ear for massive bass, the kind of bass that absorbs and overpowers everything in a club. It's no surprise that recently they've been getting some airplay love on BBC's Radio 1. Their Nyteowl remix is a hit, plus the Aniki remix of Kill The Fox always goes down a treat! Nyteowl - Bring Back Da Funk (Bass Weazal Remix)/Ysi Bass Weazal - Kill The Fox (Aniki Remix)/Ysi I was wandering through the constant maze that is Hype Machine the other day when I found these guys called SHARKSLAYER. Their track Fleshlighter has this real cool beat you can bounce to, I always find myself boppin' away to it. I've been pumping this at home all week, it's a great track. Big ups to Datasapiens for the find. Sharkslayer - Fleshlighter/Ysi Now, for an oldie but a goodie. SEBASTIEN LEGER is a guy you would associate more with the commercial house scene, but I find his beats transcend the various club scenes. Try his track Take Your Pills on for size. Some of you club/electro music fanatics like me may notice this track from K.I.M.'s Parklife '07 DJ set which has been doin' the rounds on the net (If you haven't heard it, find it! Multigenred awesomeness). It takes awhile to kick in, but when it does it goes off. Sebastien Leger - Take Your Pills/Ysi Now I know Trashbags has been absolutely floggin' the arrival of the baddest bopper in town Proxy, and rightly so seeing as they're hosting the gig. However if you live in Melbourne don't fret, hes coming down south too! February 7 at Roxanne Parlour, with djs Thomas Von Party, Gus Da Hoodrat and Tranter from Gameboy/Gamegirl to name a few. I've been listening to Proxy's In DJs We Trust set ripped off BBC's Radio 1 quite a bit, you can get it here. Plus a very reliable little birdy told me that EDU K is coming to town in early Feb! Originating in Brazil, this guy is one of my favourite producers at the moment. His remixes and originals are part bmore, part 90s rave, part bassline, rounded off with Portuguese vocals. It is really intense beats, built for the 1am-3am club atmosphere. Check this out, it is a definite hit. Be warned though, it is very heavy: Act Yo Age - La Fumo Loco(Edu K Yerba Buena Remix)/Ysi So that's it from me! A big first post! I promise they'll be smaller next time. You'll be hearing a lot more from me in the near future, as I discover many more tracks! If you want to check out my band Bipolar Badwise, there's a link here. Stay safe and party hard! Bondy Labels: Act Yo Age, Aniki, Bass Weazal, Edu K, Nyteowl, Proxy, Sharkslayer 8 Comments:Plus if anyone's interested Ajax in The Warriors (dude on the left in the pic) is Dexter's Dad in Dexter. Just puttin' it out there.

posted by Mindgutter | Thursday, January 15, 2009 | 5:07 PM | la_z_guido@hotmail.com Underground dj and producer Peter Spencer from Wollongong has been sending shockwaves world-wide with his amazing remix of Kryptonite.Repete has not only garnered attention from superstar dj Kissy Sell Out by featuring on his BBC Radio 1 show but he's also had his remix dropped infront of 10's of thousands of people by Ajax at Field Day this year! Purple Ribbon Allstars - Kryptonite (Repete Remix) (YSI link) Befriend Repete on myspace and tell him how awesome he is. Much Love, Mindgutter P.S. End 2008 - Start 2009!
posted by Kx. | | 2:39 AM | kevin.spec@gmail.com ![]() Hey guys, I haven't been posting much post, only because I haven't been in-tune with the whole music/blog scene lately only because i've been busy but since it is a new year and i've been getting back into looking at upcoming artists around the world, i have to say that i have stumbled across some crazy cats out there and i thought it may be time to give them a go since the hype around sydney right now are big namers such as Boys Noize, Busy P, Mehdi, Atrak, and Proxy just to name a few. I stumbled across this young cat on myspace, he goes by the name of Plastic Fang and i thought maybe I should just go and check him out, so I did and found myself kind of confused to what I saw, he had our blogsite listed in his friends list and wondered if this guy ever got featured on our blog but he hasn't, not until now. Plastic Fang is a DJ/Producer shooting out of Miami (USA) who has just recently started to DJ just two months ago, but has been producing music for his other musical project, Diamond Messages before he decided to start Plastic Fang. He has told me that he looked after the post production of his band so he is not unfamiliar with producing or music in general. But, now that he has been doing some cuts and edits of some heavy tracks like White Knight Two by Surkin, he has been kind enough to send me some of his tracks to blog. His sound is fresh, upbeat, a little disco and would definitely start kids dancing in a heartbeat. His biggest influences are Surkin, Teenage Bad Girl, Yuksek and many more you can really tell in his tracks that there is a bit of each within his sound. With more and more production already made, he has definitely layed down the stepping stone for artists in Miami to follow this movement. He doesn't like to be compared to Justice as some of his listeners have said, so perhaps you be the judge and tell me what you think. So without further adieu, Foals - Electric Bloom (Plastic Fang Remix) - ysi Justice - Valentines (Plastic Fang Remix) - ysi and one from his own Plastic Fang - Hyper Colour Castle - ysi He has promised a little mini mix or recorded set to post in the future, but only if he doesn't black out behind the decks from drinking too much, I guess he has a little Trashbags in him. So 2009 has already been intense. With festivals after festivals, it has been a really big two-three weeks for all of sydney with Field day to start off the year with a massive bill of international artists like Boys Noize, Busy P, Mehdi, Late of the Pier, Digitalism, and Atrak just to name a few, it has been a great start to the year then Sydney had the First Night of Sydney Festival just last week seeing 300,000+ party goers, ravers, under age kids on drugs, old grannies and tourists on the streets of Sydney was intense. So, what better way to continue "the biggest party ever" than to announce that The Proxy will be doing his only Sydney show at Trashbags exclusively. The Proxy and fellow Turbo Records artist Thomas Von Party will come and destroy Plantation and dub around all of sydney "The biggest party ever". I thought maybe I will post some videos i have found on youtube with The Proxy and Thomas Von Party to show you what you will be getting into since the blogosphere has been filled with Proxy tracks that you may already have. I think this is a better way so you guys in Sydney can prepare yourself for a night that will destory your ears and livers that we all will need medical help afterwards. Just imagine what the Sydney show will be like.. The Proxy And Thomas Von Party And luckily, I have found a podcast on website sidlovesturbo which Thomas Von Party has made a mix for. It's not his latest, but i thought this one has a better tracklisting. :) Thomas Von Party Podcast no. 23 Tracklisting: 1. DMX Krew - Molten Analogue - Breakin Records 2. Popof - The Chomper (LSD Version) - Turbo Recordings 3. Tiga & Zyntherius - Sunglasses (Black Devil Disco Dub) - Turbo Recordings 4. Alter Ego - Baby Kraut - Klang 5. Principles of Geometry - A Mountain for President (Joakim Remix) - Tigersushi 6. Don Rimini - Let me Back up (Crookers Remix) - Mental Groove 7. Apparat - Arcadia (Boys Noize’s 13 minute Remix) - Shitkatapult 8. Chromeo - Needy Girl (Lifelike Remix) - Back Yard / Turbo / Last Gang 9. Frankie Flowerz aka Mohan Das - Funk Dat - Turbo Recordings 10. Matthew Jonson - Symphony for the Apocalypse - Wagon Repair So this is me signing off, check out the flyers to the right of this page and make sure you get prepared for the biggest party ever! Get your tickets, book your hotel rooms and tell your parents you're not coming home because you're not going to survive ;) <3K.
