By Not sure what to do with Mindgutter but the mix works for me. Nice to see a little 70s bowie in the mix as we're all on a disco tip. Darlings of the Splitscreen I know. Is it theres or their remix?

posted by Bondy | Sunday, February 22, 2009 | 4:35 PM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() So I officially had my last day of work at my job today. It was real crap, i had to deal with shitty parents and their complaints about their children's swimming lessons. Customer Service for a pool and a gym is a shit job, don't do it. Although now i'm out of a job. Anyone wanna give me another one??? ;) This got sent to me a couple of weeks back, i've just been lazy in getting it up for you guys. Walter Meego have some great hits to their name with Keyhole, Forever, and now Girls. This remix is definitely another notch to add to their illustrious belt. It's by Don Diablo, and has this great bounce. Dropped in the right context could be dangerous for a dancefloor. Check it: Walter Meego - Girls(Don Diablo RMX)/Ysi I just want to reiterate that is Don Diablo, I don't wanna create a debacle like last time! What do you think of the track? Bondy. 2 Comments:

Romulus and Remus Remixed!
posted by Mindgutter | | 12:40 PM | la_z_guido@hotmail.com Romulus and Remus are up to their usual shenanigans stirring trouble wherever they tread. This time having their killer track "RAR" getting the remix treatment from our closest and most adored American buddies Culture Prophet. Also giving "RAR" a good tumble is Dirty Disco Youth from Germany who have been featured heavily on Trashbags Kids heavily of late. It's actually quite incredible having a track you know so well remixed by these two big artists and listen to the ways they transformed it using their signature sounds. But I then suddenly found it when I listened to Foamo's Chew the Fat mix. Ajax has dropped it in his sets many a time when I have seen him, and it's got that lovely Bmore flavour all you kids have been craving. Bart B More - Bingo Players Get Up(Diplo RMX)/Ysi Yeah it's a bit old, but it will still blow your mind(and your speakers). I won't post Foamo's Chew the Fat Mix cos my bandwidth is almost completely sapped, but you can find it on his myspace. Ciao!
posted by Bondy | | 10:50 AM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() I dunno about you guys, but I have always found Tiga to have his fingers directly on the pulse with his original works. His remixes can be a bit of a hit and miss affair, but his originals have always stood strongly against the rest. From his awesome early tracks such as You Gonna Want Me and Pleasure From the Bass, to the bowel-churning Mind Dimension and cover of Sunglasses At Night, he knows exactly what the club scene needs. His new album is coming out late April and it's titled Ciao! Judging from the tracks i've heard so far it's gonna be great. This track i've posted is probably my favourite so far. It's a bit disco, it's a bit 80s, its way dancable. Check it out: Tiga - Love Don't Dance Here/Ysi I found this track a few days ago, and believe me when i say it's really good. Yes, it's Nirvana, and yes, it is a remix of arguably their most popular song, Smells Like Teen Spirit. I know a lot of you will turn up your nose to this because electro remixes of rock music almost always turn out to be duds. Hell, I do it myself. But I find this one succeeds where the others fail. The vocals are kept to a real minimum, and it isn't structured like the original, so you can't really compare the two. I reckon it'd blow people's minds if dropped in a club so I highly recommend this one: Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit(WZRDZ RMX)/Ysi In other news Royal Rumble sent this to me the other week. It's a video of them dropping their remix of my band Bipolar Badwise's track Entwined in a club. When I saw this video it really put into perspective how global the blogging phenomena is. To have people on the other side of the world in America dancing to my music, it's surreal! Scared of this Mau5? You should be!
posted by Mindgutter | Monday, February 16, 2009 | 6:27 PM | la_z_guido@hotmail.com Deadmau5 is one of those iconic artists that through very clever branding (love that mouse head aye) and amazing production has managed to penetrate every pore of Sydney.I decided to sell my ticket to Good Vibes on account of the terrible weather (apparently I made a wise move, Good Vibes was a bit of a let down this time around) and also to be refreshed and ready to party through till 5am at the Proxy (another wise move, Proxy was amazing). I was pretty torn because I've got a pretty intense love for Deadmau5 but lucky for me, there are still a few shows you can catch before he jets off. This is a pretty spunky remix by the very awesome Dirty Disco Youth that has been floating around for a few weeks and is well worth a listen. Deadmau5 - Ghosts N Stuff (Dirty Disco Youth Remix) / YSI Now this next track is certainly not new but I want to blog it because it has special significance for me. We dropped "Not Exactly", an amazing Prog House track at our Proxy gig not really knowing what to expect from the crowd. Hands were in the air during the build up. Then it dropped and people went fucking nuts. It was magic. My Love Sees Classixx
posted by Mindgutter | Wednesday, February 11, 2009 | 9:13 PM | la_z_guido@hotmail.com My never dying love for Beni (Kitsune) has made me scour the internet for remixes of and by him. And in my endless stalking I have stumble upon the incredible Classix Remix of My Love Sees you. The calming synths created by Classixx coupled with some awesome vocoder action come together to form a winning combination. Another reason why I'm really diggin Classixx at the moment is because they have also remixed my other favourite artist (also from Kitsune) Guns N Bombs. Riddle of Steel by GnB is a heavy heavy track but Classixx has taken the general feel and vocals from this track and magically made it softer on the ears. Beni - My Love Sees You (Classixx Remix) / YSI Guns N Bombs - Riddle of Steel (Classixx Remix) / YSI Ok sweet. From Russia With Love
posted by Bondy | | 12:07 AM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() **Thanks to my mate Dearie for the post title, somehow I managed to remember it after it being suggested at 3:30 in the morning whilst being heavily inebriated.** Last Saturday night I was able to witness the might and power that was Proxy. I knew it was going to be big, I knew it was going to be loud, and judging by his BBC Radio mix I knew it was going to be heavy. But nothing prepared me for how hardcore that night was. ![]() Pictures courtesy of Kareem De La Cruz. Before Proxy even dropped the first track I was really impressed with him. 3am rolled around and the dancefloor filled, becoming jittery and nervous with anticipation. When they spotted him, they began chanting 'Proxy' to the beat of the song fading out. Proxy picked up a microphone, turned down the beat playing and recorded the crowd for 8 bars, kicked the track back up. Then using the in-loop sampler began chopping and screwing with the freshly recorded crowd vocals. From that point on I knew it was going to be a great set. After the crowd sample chop up, and a 2 minute intro of what sounded like tugboat horns(or even the horn the aliens use in War of the Worlds), the beats kicked in and the crowd went crazy. I had never seen such an out of control club before. People were hardcore moshing in the middle of the dancefloor. People were swinging from the lights attached to the roof and climbing on top the speakers dancing. Some people were on other people's shoulders, trying to get a better look at the commander of the chaos. The only colour the lights flashed was a deep Soviet red, and a powerful strobelight sliced through the endless clouds of dried ice(not to mention my retinas). It was fantastic. The crowd partied harder to the more popular tunes, and through club speakers the track 40 Seconds really did sound like a bomb dropping. The Proxy remix of Digitalism was wild, his remix of Boys Noize was an absolute killer, and when Raven came on people lost their shit. It was an amazing night. The other Djs really brought their A-game as well. Thomas Von Party played some mad techno tunes, none of which I recognised, which I love happening. Gus Da Hoodrat also played some harder stuff for the occasion too. If you have a chance to catch this guy in action in your local town, I highly suggest you go out and buy tickets as soon as you can. You'll never experience anything similar in a long time. That said, if you read this blog regularly you'll he's coming to Sydney this weekend, so if you don't have a ticket, get one right now! Here is the Proxy remix of Digitalism's Home Zone: Digitalism - Home Zone(Proxy Remix)/Ysi Plus a track I love that Gus Da Hoodrat dropped: Vitalic - La Rock 01/Ysi Tell me what you think of the tracks, i'm very interested to know. Til next time, Bondy 6 Comments:Well, the Vitalic song is classic, along with most everything on that Album.
By i love the home zone remix, everyone loves the proxy/digitalisim and it brings such a heavier sound compared to the normal favourites like the pogo remixes!

Festivals, Family events where you get to see your uncle wasted, Beaches, Bikinis, whatever. Actually the only thing i don't like about summer is that there are not as many Trashbags events on. This year I have one more, and it comes in a breath of fresh air in my itunes playlist. It always seems that your major hypemachine junkies (crookers, beetroots etc.) seem to take a break over the christmas break and the younger (and less hyped) talent seems to shine. Firstly i have Trashbags party regulars and my good friends Romulus and Remus's latest remix. I may be biased when it comes to these boys but this is one of my favourite tracks right now. Fast paced distorted synth, it can only mean good things. Night Drugs - Super Chi Chi (Taylor's Romulus&Remus Remix) /YSI (trashbagskids exclusive!) Next i have a new track from Distrakt that really impressed me from the first time i listened to it. His usual tight production with a driving baseline and great breakdown in the middle. He also scored some European tour dates so keep an eye out for more of Distrakt in the future Distrakt - Phonic /YSI (links fixed soon) Last of all i have Trumpdisco from Victoria. I had the rare pleasure of downloading their boy8bit remix on a Saturday afternoon and hearing it played at the Trashbags 2nd birthday that same night, it resulted in me being kicked out but fuck it was worth it. This is still one of my top played tracks when i mix and it makes people lose their minds. they also said their could be a possibility of playing a Trashbags show too so fingers crossed! posted by MS-DOS | | 7:44 PM | ben.parkes.2230@gmail.com This is my first post so first of all hey to everyone who reads this blog regularly. I read this blog religiously over the last year so i hope to keep up the high standard of blogging and wit that Telly and the rest have set. I also hope to post a few gems and some more obscure songs that you can throw into your iPod/CDJ's that are guaranteed to get the crowd moving even if you cant beatmatch.I heard this song about two weeks ago when Boys Noize decided to throw a (semi) secret birthday bash for his friend and fellow Boys Noize Records producer D.I.M. The night started off pretty slow (his girlfriend was manning the decks so he could sink a few of proxy's homelands finest), After a few hours Alex stepped up the mixer, played a few slow songs to keep his girlfriend happy and then dropped this beast of a song. (it has a long intro so be patient) Ghislain Poirier - Blazin feat. Face-T (Modeselektor Remix) /YSI It got everyone into the mood, After about half an hour he dropped another amazing song i had never heard of. I remember cheap frills asking him what song it was and he just smiled and pointed at himself. Little said we all lost our shit, we thought we had just heard a song off his highly anticipated new album that should be dropping late this year! I thought i was the coolest person in the world, i recorded it on my iPhone and listened to the cheap recording over and over the next day. I was a little disappointed when i was Reading asianmandan and found out it was just one of his remixes but none the less this is an amazing song, it's slower, heavier and darker than anything i have heard out of my favourite artist. Röyksopp - Happy Up Here (Boys Noize Remix)/ YSI Maybe diplo was right when he said 2009 was going to be the year that producers said goodbye to the 130bpm? Boys Noize Myspace Modeselektor Myspace Peace MS-DOS P.S I will always keen to post new music so if there is anyone out there who would like to get their songs blogged please email me: ben.parkes.2230@gmail.com please have it formatted so the producers name and track of the title are in the subject of the email. Cheers. Labels: boys noize, Modeselektor, Royksopp 2 Comments:welcome dude, sick as tracks! have a good one.

My first real taste of dubstep would have been during Switch's set at Field Day this year. I remember hearing this crazy bass bouncing in every direction imaginable as the crowd went ballistic. I'm no expert in dubstep. So if you're a veteran of the genre, you're probably not going to find this post particularly useful. But for those people fairly new to the genre, I have a pretty wack Rusko mixtape that gives you a firm dose of everything dubstep. Rusko Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 December 66 tracks in about 2 hours of Wharp Wharp Wharp. The track list is too huge to post BUT there is a track list if you click on the link. And now for a track that is definately old. But something I still listen to everyday. Easily my favourite Rusko track. Rusko - Cockney Thug / YSI Want more? Rusko Myspace. 3D World Interview I suggest you attack hypem and beatport for more bouncy beats from this talented dubstep madman! Much Love, Mindgutter 1 Comments:
