I love it! Very creative! That's actually really cool.. Hostage posted by ray_ray | Thursday, May 21, 2009 | 11:27 PM | ray@trashbags.net.au ![]() Hardcore raver Hostage is the talk of today, his funny humour and great music, see the man from Scotland play all over Europe. His latest remix is of Autodidakt's track "Ghetto Nonsense", and boy is there some big bass drops in this track! The flavour thru this is like techno, rave with a bit electro, its really great what he has done with this one. Now i dont know much bout dubstep but i know its the talk of today, and when it comes to this genre, Hostage is the man to see! You will know what im talking bout when you hear this track called "Massive", with its fat ass lines it will have your fat ass shakin on your seat. With the music pumpin, its not called massive for nothin.... I also thought i would post 2 of his latest tracks that are just as good as last ones ive posted so check them out as well peoples, peace! Ray_Ray Hostage - myspace 2 Comments:I think Hostage is very electro. I mean it definitely has a rave feel to it, but the electro just stands out like crazy, especially wit that sort of dubstep feel to the music.

I see the poppiness behind it and it really makes you want to shake a little. I'm sitting here infront of my laptop and i'm shaking a little to it. The original is respectively good, and it was featured on the Aeroplane mini mix they did for Annie Mac but as i did my research on Hypem, i also found a Treasure Fingers remix which also blew my mind away. If you have heard other Treasure Fingers remixes or songs, he is influenced with that disco sound, and its unique. What he does out there in the scene, he is doing well and I really think he is someone to watch out for. This remix he did for Mike Snow, is really unique. cheers for the reference Legally Dead For 4'31 posted by Kx. | | 2:31 PM | kevin.spec@gmail.com ![]() So if already you know who this post is about, its about one of the Institubes men, and it's not Surkin this time. In fact its Bobmo.. Now to the bobmobile! Ok that was kinda lame, but i thought maybe something interesting to start it off would go well, but i guess it didn't hey? lol. Anyways, Bobmo is definitely a under rated factor to this whole 'electro movement', in my opinion. Lately he has sky rocketed into the atmosphere and people around the world have been posting blogs about this artists. Only at a young age 17 (as it says on his myspace bio) but i think he is like 21 now or 20 even but anyways even at that age, it is quite young to score a record deal with one of the main players in the electro scene, and also to team up with Surkin to create a team called High Powered Boys and make tracks like Hoes Get Down is definitely an achievement when it gets played by the likes of Boys Noize, D.I.M, Strip Steve and other big name artists. Musically, at a young age, he has already released three EPs respectively to his own moniker "To the Bobmobile", "Lets go Bobmo!" and "3000%" and also released an EP with his other protege High Powered Boys, "Sounds of Cain" and released a number of remixes as well. He will be down for a tour in Australia for the We Love Sounds festival tour around Australia in June and plays 6th of June in Sydney for the WLS winter music festival. So catch this guy wherever he is playing because he will definetely impress you as he has impressed me and a whole bunch of other people. For my first post, i thought id throw up something that ive discovered just recently in the past few days. He goes by the name of GTRONIC, hailing from Belgium. Dj'ing since 2005, but in the past year or so has moved on to mixing and producing a more harder style than his earlier electrofunk style. The first track I heard is called Ironman. Blending some heavy bass lines with a bouncy beat, listening to it makes me want to jump around and break shit. I cant wait to hear this dropped in a club. GTronic - Ironman (320kbps) [rightclick to download] Another track that im liking is Slasher. Its got a huge build up and that real bouncy bassline that Im loving at the moment with Gtronic. Its his latest remix, and seeing as though the Bloody Beetroots are the talk of the town with them coming to our shores very soon, I thought id share it with you. The signature 'woop woop' is played all over this track which everyone loves about the original. This will definately hit all the right spots when dropped in a club ;) Warp - The Bloody Beetroots ft Steve Aoki (GTronic Badass RMX) [rightclick to download] This guy is big in Belgium, and judging by his myspace track plays, going up by 400-500 plays a day everyone should definately keep their eyes and ears peeled for more goodies from Gtronic. I find them similar to Crystal Castles with the atari sounds, but the added violins and harder bassline and cool electronic beats gives it a completely different feel, to my liking.... i prefer these guys!. .Have a listen to these guys, one of my favourite songs they have called Trainthoughts, [its actually been on repeat] If you happen to check out their myspace, have a listen to distrust, and also in the sun, all 3 songs very much a must have. Keep an eye out on these guys, they are not your average band. I'm not a band Myspace I'm not a band Trainthoughts [rightclick to download] ![]() Labels: crystal castles, germany, i'm not a band 0 Comments:Bionic Commando! posted by Kx. | Friday, May 8, 2009 | 7:25 PM | kevin.spec@gmail.com ![]() When i first saw this blog post on a this theme song, i really had to have an open mind to see what it'd be like, so having listened to two tracks in which have been remixed by the likes to Rusko who is signed to Mad Decent and anything from Mad Decent is pretty banging, and also Surkin who is signed to Institubes and there isn't anything bad i can say about Surkin because there isn't. So anyways Bionic Commando is a game which was made back when some of us were young or teenagers, so it was quite a long time ago because it was made for the gaming console NES so the graphics was really poor quality. Below is what it looked like back then and now it has been given a face lift and a new version of the game will be coming out some time this year for Xbox360, PS3 and other consoles as well. So this blog is about music and music is what i shall bring to you all, the theme song has been remixed by Rusko and Surkin and i have to say, these remixes are pretty damn cool. First the Rusko remix really did surprise me, at first the song sounds normal, and as in normal i mean good enough for it to be the theme song, until further in the track the Rusko sound comes in and it definitely brings a smile to your face. I really think this track has been remixed really well and Rusko has done a great job bringing his dubstep, drum and bass sound to this theme song. Mad Decent whadddup!? Bionic Commando Theme (Rusko Remix) <-- ♥♥♥♥ [rightclick to download] Next remix is the Surkin remix, and this remix didn't really do it for me, I do like it but its like adding the same kinda sound to the same song, in other words, i think the remix sounds similar to the original. Surkin added a bassline and sped up the tempo to make it danceable. It is both good remixes respectively and I think this remix really shows Surkin electronic sound. I really think he tried to keep the theme song the same with it's melody and just added his own touch to it. What do you think? By The 80's posted by ray_ray | Thursday, May 7, 2009 | 11:53 PM | ray@trashbags.net.au Im an 80's baby and proud of it! everything good came straight outta the 80's, great music, great style, great music, sick gaming consoles(i miss my atari!) and of course MacGyver. So i thought i would post some tracks that i have had stuck in my head all day with a modern day remix. Firstly im posting a song called "Dont Stop The Rock" from old skool favourites Freestyle, I used to listen to this on an old school breakdance movie all the time and thought i could breakdance... i soon found out it wasnt my thing (cause im shit at it) but still loved it, the old style electro hip hop sound amazed me but then in the late 80's hip hop went in its own direction and so did electronica but yet there was some groups making some bangers. Freestyle-DontStopTheRock [rightclick to download] freestyle daniel haaksman remix [rightclick to download] And then we have a track "When I Hear Music" from Debbie Deb which i never really heard until i hit the electro scene and listened to Duke Dumonts remix and shit was that a sick remix! The original is just as great if your an 80's music fan but the Duke's touch defanitely set it off. Ray_Ray 0 Comments:posted by ray_ray | | 10:52 PM | ray@trashbags.net.au Major Lazer keeps busting track after track and remix after remix, so i thought after all the spam i been smashed with i would post a remix by LehtMoJoe of "Hold The Line"(probably the last person to blog it but heck, why not).Major Lazer defanitely dont bring no generic sound, they bring something different. Their indie sound beats over Jamaican rastafarian vocals which together they call 'digital reggae'. Ive been told Major Lazer has some history and the Jamaican commando lost his arms in the secret zombie war of 1984 and had them replaced by lazers and plans to fight all evil forces through the liberating tunes (not sure how much of that is true) on his EP "Guns Don't Kill People, Lazers Do" with the help from Grammy-nominated producers Diplo and Switch on record labels 'Downtown' and 'Mad Decent'. also linked is his "Lazer Boom 1" megamix/album. Romulus & Remus, Nadisko, and now Justdima. Justdima another local Sydney boy, has made an amazing job of international Status band/group Sneaky sound System, who have at the moment, been keeping low key. But this Version of UFO is definitely a must hear. I absolutely love it, with the whole vocals being choppy, reminds me of something toxic avenger would do, definitely a crowd pleaser which surely will get crowds dancing and singing along, he is done some outstanding things with the beat, making it much more bouncy. and a club hit. Cagedboy - Hello There (The Presets remix).mp3 [right click to save] 0 Comments:Always More posted by Kx. | | 12:47 AM | kevin.spec@gmail.com ![]() autoKratz are two English producers hailing from London in the UK. Not only does London produce an amazing football team (Chelsea) but they also produce amazing producers. These guys are signed to Kitsune and have been featured on the Kitsune Maison Compilation CD 5,6 & 7. autoKratz music sounds to me like a bit of Presets vocals mixed with some crazy Grafton Primary synths and some electronic sounds here and there. For some reason it really does sound good when you actually put them all together and you get an amazing track. The two tracks i have for you today are remixes by Shadow Dancer, another UK based producers who have played an exclusive set at Trashbags when they were down in Australia last year. This remix is a typical Shadow Dancer sound. Repetitive vocals mixed with the bass line and chopped up melody. I am a really big fan of the two UK based producers when they came down to Australia and played a live set, it was really techno and i realised why Boys Noize Records snatched them up to be signed on that label. By far this remix has impressed me as well, its not so heavy but its still got its distortion, I really wonder what it'd sound like on a bigger sound system. autoKratz - Always More (Shadow Dancer Remix) [right click to download] The next remix is done by Yuksek who has been added onto the bill at Splendor In The Grass. I really think he has been an act that has been flying underneath the radar with a lot of things, and without a doubt he shouldn't be under the radar because I really rate Yuksek and his music. Seeing him at a club a few years ago, he has really improved his live shows and with an Album out, I really think he should be appreciated more than what he is now in Australia and hopefully the live set at Splendor would make that happen. Anyways, have a listen folks. autoKratz - Always More (Yuksek Remix) [right click to download] 0 Comments:sounditout - Return, EP Release posted by MANAGEMENT | Wednesday, May 6, 2009 | 4:21 PM | info@trashbags.net.au [sounditout duo return, with a record deal, and EP]Its been awhile, Jason King & Jeremy Green sounditout duo , went low key, but boy did they have some surprises which they kept closely to themselves. Previously playing @ Trashbags, sounditout became a very popular group within our social fans and network, and only to see them back in an incredible form, we are all super excited. By Nadisko - a rookie under disguise posted by MANAGEMENT | Tuesday, May 5, 2009 | 11:23 PM | info@trashbags.net.au [A new rookie, from sydney]Goes by the name of "Nadisko" and that is basically all i know of him, but from the minute i click on his first track, i could see the influences of Boys noize [with the vocal box], d.im [bleeps] and grum [driving disco], and the distortion.. is amazing. With songs titled A Piece of berlin, you can almost say, boys noize and d.i.m would be his influences Although i don't know much about what this kid/ or kids is about, he has so much potential. Most probably you will have your opinion, let me know your thoughts on this one. One great thing about them, is that they are based in Sydney, exactly where, i have no idea. We have added a player, finally to our updated blog, you should be able to hear these direct with the small "play" button next to the song, - i hope you enjoy it. Freakatronic posted by ray_ray | | 10:58 PM | ray@trashbags.net.au Freakatronic, the robots who are on a mission to save mankind with music from the 22nd century! They have played along side the likes big acts such as kavinsky and Busy P to name a few and thats what engaged me to sus these robot rockers who go with the style of Daft Punk robot helmet wear and having them as an influence to their music seems to be a big part of there electronic disco style image. So check this new track 'the sound of freakatronic' which has been released on their new 7" vinyl "Carneval auf der Kouch". Ray_Ray Freakatronic Myspace Freakatronic - The Sound of Freakatronic (.mp3) 0 Comments:Mixed bag of Goodies posted by Kx. | | 1:40 AM | kevin.spec@gmail.com ![]() So so so, guys. I haven't been blogging much lately just because i've been infected with the swine flu... Not really, not even close. I've just been on hiatus for a bit but tonight, I feel good and i'm ready to blog. I'm not really going to blog about a certain artist or whatever because since being away on hiatus i've heard a lot of songs and read a lot of blogs and i've collected a lot of tracks and added them to my playlist and I've picked a selection of goodies to share. (most probably not the newest stuff but stuff I'm really digging) So anyways, I heard these two tracks when I scored the recent A-Trak mixes with Fabric Live and Infinity +1. I really dig these tracks cause i've seen DJs on youtube at coachella drop these tracks and seen the crowd go crazy, its quite odd that these songs would but it did and i'm really feeling it as well. LeLe - Breakfast (Mercury Remix) Metronomy - Heartbreaker (Diskjokke Remix) <- ♥♥♥ This next track I found on another blog and I thought how it would sound, because the original track sounds pretty good and already synthy and I wondered how it would sound if Grum added his touch to it and definitely enjoyed the experience of this track. Grum who toured with us in November put on a show, and definitely his skills and talent when remixing is one of the reasons why we toured him. Tell me what you think. Friendly Fires - Skeleton Boy (Grum Remix) And lastly, i've been a big fan of this song, and it's remixes and definitely this one and also the Beni remix stands out for me. I also like the Mr. Oizo remix as well but the Djedjotronic remix is what im feeling, its bassline is a killer and it's catchy is a way, makes you want to bop in your chair, but definitely will make you bop in a club. There are other remixes out there so have a listen to all of them, Tiga is always someone i like musically. His music is always a pleaser for any dance loving person, even hippies. Tiga - Shoes (Djedotronic Remix) <-- link fixed. Until next time (tomorrow perhaps).. Peace X ;) 8 Comments:

Official remix?!. posted by MANAGEMENT | Monday, May 4, 2009 | 5:14 PM | info@trashbags.net.au The controversy continues for Rob aka Redial, but as a music enthusiast, and for the love of the music, one thing i have learnt throughout my experience, - ... and that's, ..if your disliked, you are very well loved. Hence Trashbagger' residence Redial has been under constant scrutiny, . An opinion is only valued if you actually know what you are talking about, an individual does not make a difference, its the vast majority of punters,. who decide at the end.- so let the people scream As for Redial and what i know of him, is that he lets his music do the talkin'. And it surely has been creating some talk between the blog world and also gaining world wide promoters fighting for exclusive shows across Europe and the U.S. Signing an Exclusive deal, to U.S underground booking agency Noise Problem, who also manages the likes of ; designer drugs, data, moulinex, xinobi, theives like us, Miami horror, Minitel Rose and many more'. Redial has captivated so many fans and is highly in demand throughout the states with his calendar consisting of a 12 day tour, with 10 live Shows. keep a look out closely as redial has more surprises in stores, working closely with Sony EMI, there will be a few goodies to come. By jiggly puff. Classixx - the future of synth. posted by MANAGEMENT | | 2:03 PM | info@trashbags.net.au [DIM MAK & now recently signage to cobrasnake Label - Classixx, the future,]I have been really watching these guys out for quite some time, Absolutely loving what the states are producing at the moment, L.A boys Classixx, are really something else. I most certainly have 1 track in mind that they have currently remixed called "Lizstomania" by Phoenix who are touring later this year, playing a show at Enmore theatre. I could be bias, as its a type of sound that i really enjoy, from bangers and distortion, i definitely have a soft spot, for cool vocals and the overpowering Synth on top, its a no brainer for me. Classixx have really established a great following of fans, and have turned heads with the aoki crew and Cobrasnake doing a cool collaboration together, a first release through Cobrasnake and distributed through Dim Mak, it will be surely a success. Dim mak label has become a label with high success, with signage of Rage boys The Bloody beetroots; a clothing line going through the roof, and Cobrasnake, all together has fallen nicely into place. "Rumours of an Australian tour possibilty, not even i'm sure with this one, but definitely a one to see" Check them out.
