posted by Bondy | Monday, July 20, 2009 | 1:52 PM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() Hey hey! Entourage is out today, so while I wait for the show to come on I thought I'd post some beats. There's not much to be found about Rondenion on the net, except that this cat resides in Japan, and he makes some absolute killer disco/deep house. All you disco fanatics should really enjoy these beats. Rondenion - A Spiral Thread Rondenion - Wave Amplitude Rondenion - Eye DJ Marin - Love Fantasy (Rondenion rmx) I'd have to say my faves are a split between Spiral Thread and the Love Fantasy remix. I love the bongos and solo on Spiral Thread, but the bass and vocals on Love Fantasy are a dream! Again give me your feedback on the tracks, your opinion ultimately decides what I put up! More beats soon guys. Til next time, Bondy 4 Comments:

Butt Naked Skin To Skin!
posted by Kx. | Wednesday, July 15, 2009 | 3:12 AM | kevin.spec@gmail.com ![]() So i thought i'd do a post on our beloved friends from the states. Johnny Love & Filip "Turbotito". As all of you know Guns'N'Bombs have split up and obviously it is a sad moment for all of us because they were our first international act to grace our shores for Trashbags, but also they were the fun and carefree americans to party with us. Anyways they are both onto new and better things, as Johnny has a new project called Deathface & Filip has his own project Turbotito. To me Deathface, has kept that sound that we have heard in Guns'N'Bombs, and i can definitely spot the similarities from Riddle of Steel and the new remix Buraka Som Sistema. Keep an eye out for Deathface productions because it is definitely an ear opener for the dancefloors. Buraka Som Sistema - IC19 (Deathface Remix) Filip "Turbotito" has definitely gone a different direction to the Guns'N'Bombs, it isn't necessarily a bad move for him because he's knowledge in music takes you beyond a world you will not experience. His current track called Losing Their Heads is definitely something i can describe as jazzy & disco synths, it's calm and relaxing and perhaps something you could listen to on sunday after hearing Deathface or distortion for 6 hours straight. Turbotito – Losing Their Heads (Filip Vs. Timmy Version) So here we have two different sounds, but two great friends, who will always share the same memories of jagerbombs and tequila shots at Trashbags. RIP GNB. Happy Birthday Trashbags Kids!
posted by Kx. | | 1:40 AM | kevin.spec@gmail.com ![]() So, as Ray and Digs posted before, it has been two years since we have opened the doors to the world wide web and been sharing exclusive tracks with bloggers all around the globe. We have had so many emails and comments coming through over the past few days we would all just like to say thank you so much for supporting us, the blog and the event and everything we have put all our hard working hands into. And for all the haters, just keep hating because that is what fuels us to become something that will soon take over. So anyways, i thought that i haven't been blogging lately because i have recently turned 21, so birthday celebrations and lack of being at home = no blog posts and on top of that recently just been quite busy with other things, but not tonight or this morning! I'm going to post a few tracks tonight that i think that will hit dance floors this weekend, or have already and i'm digging. So lets start off with La Roux, I've been quite a big fan of her after listening to her song In For The Kill original and remix by Foamo and Skream, and lately i've been really rating her sound. Its 80's mixed pop synths and she reminds me of the girl version of kavinsky with her style and looks. Anyways, both tracks are quite different in their own way, and playing them in a club will have to vary if because one is more of a dub step sound and the other is a more disco/housey sound. Both good tracks. La Roux - Bulletproof (Foamo's Dubstep Remix) La Roux - Bulletproof (Tepr Remix) Next, I decided to add this song to the list because Classixx have been tearing up the circuit of Nu Disco, and we recently had a show with them, and they rocked the party. This remix is a bit on the fence with me, only because Major Lazer is the collaboration of Switch and Diplo and their sound is so unique, Classixx is beyond opposite to their sound, I really don't know what to think when i came across this remix. Tell me what you think. Major Lazer - Cash Flow (Classixx Glass Bottom Dub Remix) This track has been floating around the blog-sphere for quite some time, but after downloading this the other night, i've been quite fond of it, and the whole Nu-Disco sound that is coming around Sydney at the moment, this producer from Melbourne has really done a great job capturing that nu-disco sound and put it down for a good quality track. Great way to start the night off I say. During the track, it really made me think that a Michael Jackson song was going to break out, maybe it's just cause the whole MJ death is still fresh in our minds. Knightlife - Crusader This has recently been dropped in everyones hands lately as i've seen on hypem and the only reason why i posted this track is because i'm quite a fan of Treasure Fingers, and he has no doubt not disappointed my opinions on this track. Miami Horror is an Australian producer and DJ and has been hugely appreciated in Australia and for Treasure Fingers to add his spin on the track is not much of a difference only because their sound is similar, but my opinion is that the Treasure Fingers remix is more of a party track. Check it out! Miami Horror - Don't Be On With Her (Treasure Fingers Remix) And last but not least, after no internet for a couple of weeks, this was the first track i laid my hands on and i certainly did not expect anything like this, because i've not really heard much from A1 Bassline, but i'm pretty impressed by this remix. Its definitely got that bassline, and dub step sound to it. Little Boots - Remedy (A1 Bassline Get Hype Remix) That's all folks, see you on the dancefloor. Social Killers Club @ OAF! 1 Comments:
Disco - Tiga Style
posted by Bondy | Tuesday, July 14, 2009 | 6:53 PM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() Hey all, I've had an influx of requests to post some more nu-disco tracks up here. No problems guys, consider it done! But while I sort out my music collection and rifle through it all, i'll tempt you with a little taster of something I found today. I'm very excited about this, Tiga is quite possibly my favourite DJ/producer goin' round, he always seems to have his finger on the pulse. Listening to this track for me draws memories of movie The Warriors, with the protagonists getting chased by Baseball Furies. Listen for yourself, and bask in the loose hats that is disco. Get it now, for I won't be having this track up for very long! Tiga - Beep Beep Beep (Emperor Machine rmx) More disco and techno beats will be up later in the week. Til next time, Bondy 7 Comments:bondy your the man !

Back to Uni...
posted by Bondy | | 11:36 AM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() Man today sucks. It's my first day back at uni for the semester today, so i'll be heading in real soon. For all those in a similar situation, here are some tunes to alleviate the pain: Larry Tee - That's Not It I'm a big fan of this beat. The king of electroclash, Mr. Larry Tee, creates such great club music. This ones called 'That's Not It', and it's awesome. Distorted kicks, minimal beat, the squeaky sound, this rocks. Tommy Trash - Need me To Stay (Padman & Luke Dub) I want to straighten something out: As DJ, I care very little about what is 'mainstream' and what is 'alternative'. If it has a sick beat that I enjoy, or carries a decent bass, i'll probably like it regardless of who made it. If you happen to catch a set of mine when I do them, you will notice my sets do not have mainsream or alternative influence. I'll play anything, new or old, so long as I enjoy the tracks i'm dropping. I know a lot of aussies will recognise and be turned off by the name of this artist above, but I implore you to check this beat out. I posted the dub version because I really dig this beat, the big drum hits in the main beat really do it for me. Finally, for all you 3am disco freaks out there! Alexander Robotnik - Obsession For the Disco Freaks (Rory Phillips rmx) Alright, I'd better go get my texts for today, see you next time. Bondy 5 Comments:Bondi, more disco please !

They have created a Classixx signiture, which i simple love, - If you are a fan of the softer music, you will surely enjoy this. Although our blog does have a few disco tracks posted recently, it will not take away from those bangers our kids all love. Techno
posted by Bondy | Thursday, July 9, 2009 | 4:07 PM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() After taking some unexpected time off from the blogging world, I decided to reaquaint myself by having a look at some previous posts on this blog. The general conclusion that I have drawn from this is that New South Wales kids love their heavy, heavy bangers! Bloody Beetroots, Guns N Bombs, the insane dub-stepper 16 Bit, all very raw beats. However, down south in Melbourne, these kinds of heavy club tracks are now non-existent. Besides for Onelove Melbourne, you would be extremely hard pressed to find a club that would play these kinds of beats. So I've decided that from now on i'll show the rest of the world what's getting me and other Melbournians hot every weekend. Some clubs down here play nu-disco or party tunes. Arguably Melbourne's most popular club for the alternatively-inclined individual is Sorry Grandma, and they drop what is best described as 'DFA Disco'. Here's one of my favourite 'DFA Disco' tracks: Runaway - Brooklyn Club Jam (Brennan Green Version). However, the club genre which is coming back in a big way down here is techno. Techno is love/hate relationship for everybody; personally i love it. When the word techno is mentioned, most people think 160 bpm beats with massively chopped synth chords. Although some techno is like that, the majority of it isn't. Tiga's label Turbo Recordings is a major forerunner in the techno department, with some absolute killer artists signed on for the ride. My most popular artist from Tiga's stable would have to be Milano. With only two solid remixes under his belt, this guy has a really strong future ahead of him. I haven't heard any of his stuff out yet, but when I do i'll lose my nut. Adam Sky & Zoo Brazil - Circle Jerk (Milano's 309 Rmx) Zombie Nation - The Fact (Milano Rmx) Another DJ I dig, although not with Turbo Recordings, is Harvard Bass. He has this mad track called 81 which has a great beat, this shit will get you moving. Check all of these tracks out. Harvard Bass - 81 And lastly something for you Sydneysiders! La Roux - Bulletproof (Midnight General Rmx) I'm not exactly sure how the rest of the world stands in the club music situation, but I am very interested in finding out. Does your city's nightlife still play heavy stuff, or are playing techno/DFA disco? or are they even dropping tracks currently topping hypem's popular list? Hit me up and tell me what kinds of tracks are making it big in your part of the world. Bondy 6 Comments:i see you got the Ftp linking working well.

hi i m from hong kong and have been a fan of your blog for sometime now. to tell u the truth, i dont normally leave comment on blogs. but just want to let u guys know that u are not alone. i play most of the heavy raw beat that i got it from your blog. they are all very new for the people over here, and lucky most of the kids seem to dig it.
By Fuck yeah!! You got that one right mate. Nu disco is where its at! Plus, Renaissance Man did a pretty good minimal mix of Havard bass's 81 track too.
By
nu disco is ok. i enjoy listening to it at home, whilst doing work, - i don't think its club music.

Love the blog guys, though I'm pretty sure that Runaway remix is the Brennan Green version :)

Temper Trap
posted by Bondy | Wednesday, July 8, 2009 | 7:25 PM | bondysprinter@gmail.com ![]() Hey guys, I dunno how many people who read this blog know if I exist, I find almost all my posts get pulled down for some reason or another. Shit, this post'll probably get pulled down as well. But hey, for those who don't know I'm Bondy and I'm a part of the Trashbags blog crew. I'm reppin' the Melbourne end. I'm gonna put it out there right now: I love the band The Temper Trap. They have an amazing debut album, their music soars above all others (helped mainly but Dougy's killer falsetto), and they've opened up a facet of Melbournian, nay Australian music that has been relatively uncovered. So when my mate played me this remix, I had to have it. Sure, it's been remixed by the massively commercial dudes Dirty South and Axwell, but the beat fits the vocals so well, keeping the emotion of the original intact. I love it. The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition (Dirty South & Axwell Remix) It's quite fitting that I chuck this post up, this is a definite promotion for musical Melbournites. A Melbournian blogger, posting a track created by a Melbourne band, remixed by a Melbourne DJ! By i think knowing talent/good music when they hear it means that theyre bound to be ahead of their time haha
By
yeh i agree.
By
we are not the shit, its never about that, its about good music, good artists coming in early - and besides this Metro show was not a Trashbags event, so it clearly states we do not jump the wagon. - and quite obvious we cannot be the wagon jumpers, if we toured them first. -
By
ok my mistake, forgot who's blog i was commenting.
By
oh of course not. The "Trashbags" party are not for everyone, its more for those who enjoy music and internationals they will not hear elsewhere. More underground, less mainstream.
By haha, i know exactly what you mean.
By just check, august, september, october of 2007 on our side tab on our time machine, and you will understand why i posted this post.
By props to you guys bringing out beetroots, guns n bombs and les petits before they were mainstream but you did just run a 'cobrasnake' event. Thats hardly underground.

A very sad day - Guns'n'bombs Part
posted by digs | | 11:07 AM | info@trashbags.net.au It wasn't too long ago, i can clearly remember, 2007, July 11 - When Trashbags first experienced the love of Guns'n'bombs, Long time friends ever since Filip & Johnny love, have announced that they have gone their separate ways - As you can probably tell i am quite devastated with the decision, but i guess its something they needed to do, ; - LA friendly blog got some inside gossip on what their last plug was, and Trashbags Crew Australia was mentioned, which is quite a BIG UPS. Here is what they had to say; We want to thank the great fans at Womb in Tokyo, The Trashbags crew in Australia, the cool festival crowd in Portugal, the regulars who went to No Culture in LA, everyone at Skylab in Denver, and a lot more people we're forgetting right now. We'd also like to thank our management, our publicists, and the booking agencies, labels, and groups that we've worked with, as without your effort none of our travel and success would've happened. As a "parting gift" here's a free MP3 of one of the last songs we did, with vocals from our friend Ricardo. Guns N Bombs - Samba Death Squad (feat. New or old, these tracks are cool, and must be posted our our blog.
