LightsoverLA + Fenech Soler posted by jono! | Thursday, April 29, 2010 | 4:02 PM | jono@trashbags.net.au  Double Whammy Sunshine //Over the last couple of weeks... it's been a bit of a task to sift out other diamonds from the overwhelming swell of Crystal Castles, which literally swamped the blogosphere overnight (P.S. I'm aware of the irony of my posting a Crystal Castles track below). Though two artists have been making their own considerable waves; LightsoverLA and Fenech Soler. I'd never heard hide or tail of Phoenix duo LightsoverLA until last month, they really just jumped out of no-where hey. Quickly climbing the hypem ladder to hit nothing but ones and twos, they've taken most by surprise. With their crystal-clear dynamic synth's that they can cut, chop, distort or smooth out any which way they please, their fast rise isn't really that surprising after all. Crystal Castles - Vietnam (LightsoverLA Remix) Miike Snow - Billie Holiday (LightsoverLA Remix)  LightsoverLA - Facebook LightsoveLA - Myspace Face Melters //UK foursome Fenech Soler seem to be at their prime right now. After a successful 2009, they've just released their new single 'Stop & Stare' under Moda, which has already been remixed to buggery. Delightful buggery, but you get the picture. Funky synths and catchy baselines, Fenech Soler do electronic pop music and they do it very well. Keep and eye out for their full length album which should be available in the coming months.
