Defeat.Well.. i am not a fan of posting so much of 1 artist.. unless they are simply amazing. . I had to ask Sebastian (trashbags kids writer) if i could write and express my thoughts on this particular piece of work. Defeat the monstrous kid from Perth, yes, thats right Perth is really shocking us here @ Trashbags. . . This kid is delivering some of the filthiest noize i have come across by. D.I.Y deserves all credit. Defeat unknown to the world is starting to create some headlines... i am honoured to have jumped on board with him at such early stages.. he is simply amazing.. D.I.Y i would call his ultimate painted masterpiece if he could paint... or his final stand symphony to ever hit the world. . . Did you ever think what it would be like if kavinsky went mad?.. what would be created?.. or if kavinsky had an evil son?... not much but utlimate brilliance. I cannot express enough the brilliance of D.I.Y, although influences heavily on kavinsky sound, this is tweaked, and... yes i said it.. an enhanced better version of testarossa. We all know how much i am a fan of kavinsky, and i am sure you all are... but you cannot deny the brilliance of Defeat final masterpiece. Enjoy and bang this out. By EUMIG & CHINON Brings the Funk! posted by Big Little | Tuesday, January 26, 2010 | 10:04 AM | bplittle@gmail.com ![]() Eumig and Chinon! Whoa! Even his artwork (which he does himself) is funky. Christian Kastbjerg, the man behind it all, has the funk of Louis La Roche, the smoothness Breakbot, and the instincts of Daft Punk, all held tightly together with musical and technical abilities learned at the esteemed Rhythmic Music Conservatory of Denmark. He has already made quite the impression in Denmark by winning their Underground Music Award as best Electronic Act of 2009, and after hearing his music, I'm sure he's on the brink of exploding internationally as well. When I first heard his track KASCHOW I immediately went to find any other tracks by him I could, only to find there were very few tracks available, let alone much information in English on Christian. Fortunately, Christian was kind enough to let Trashbags Kids in on what's going on in the world of Eumig and Chinon! Turns out he won the UMA award before has has even made an official release! He's planning on getting his first release out this spring, potentially on his own label, which I'm greatly looking forward to. At the moment only a few of his tracks are downloadable although the rest you can stream through his Myspace. On his Myspace there are a couple of gems including a track called BASH which is eerily reminiscient of Daft Punk, and, in Copenhagen fashion, is about the effects of global warming. Think 'Technologic', add some funk and ecologically conscious (though equally random) lyrics. Anyways, besides that track here are my favourite EUMIG & CHINON tracks! Keep your ears and eyes peeled for this guy in the near future. Eumig and Chinon - THIS FANG 'You Got To Move!' Eumig and Chinon - KASCHOW Sounds like Breakbot's Penelope Pitstop with some more mustard behind it. Data/Debt - California Special (Eumig and Chinon Remix) It honestly sounds like Breakbot and Louis La Roche collaborated on this remix. And here's Christian Kastbjerg's personal favourite Louis track: Louis La Roche - Prick Stick Labels: Eumig and Chinon, Funk 3 Comments:wow, these cats know how to groove!

By a far and beyond adventure. posted by digs | Monday, January 25, 2010 | 8:41 AM | info@trashbags.net.au // the golden years of BarretsoIt's been just over a week since i have posted on kids, I hope you haven't missed me too much, but from the chaos that has been happening the past week, its been busy times here at the Trashbags office. Firstly i would like to thank our newest addition to the Kids writers guild, with over 70 people interested in writing for us, we have selected our next top 5, thank you Moktar, Jono, The moustache in my life & Big little & Tom. You will now see some more undiscovered music from these guns. There has been some overwhelming support for Tuff em up! artist Barretso in the past month, hitting over a dozen blogs with Midnight Walk (original) and also featuring Disco Dust with an exclusive release of Bright City Lights with a Kolt13(tuffemup!)remix was great to see. Thank you Stoney Roads, Blue walrus, Get hyped on this, OHH! crapp, death electro, too many sebastian, indie here, Circle.square.triangle, you would if you had robot ears & Discodust, your support has been amazing. Barretso has come along way, the long awaited Bright City Lights is flawless, with an upbeat tune, and catchy vocals, there is so much to love with Barretso, he will leave you on repeat and singing along to his tunes. With 3 amazing originals on this EP, Bright City Light, We won't Stop, Midnight walk & remixes by Kolt13 it will be a must have EP. What leaves me intrigued about Barretso's songs are that his lyrics leave you open to your own interpretation of what he sings about... when the chorus sings " you make me feel better" or we won't stop tonight " what is he really singing about, is it a girl? drugs? sex? a midnight drift on a highway.. clueless as you may be, i have my own meaning, you can decide your own. Melbourne was one hell of a trip, its rare to travel along side the tight trio, Nikolas had joined me, and also TK from death in berlin, Seeing the 3 of us at the same place and in a different city is one of those rare things.. We are just extremely busy, and i hate flying. The sacrifice was made for the launch of Melbourne Trashbags, Meeting Hermanator at the airport this was an enjoyable trip. Trashbags Melbourne launched with a BANG! With over 1300 people at the Roxanne Parlour, the 3 large scaled room venue was a full throttle punching out some NOIZE, it was great meeting some cool people there, Paul our Melbourne partner did an amazing job with the Launch of Trashbags seeing a capacity venue nice and early. Must be the old age of this old body, but the young generation of kids have gone wild, we were joined by Fraser Carter, Chillz & Fysh, and fuck are these guys insane, travelling 9 hours on a drive from Sydney to Melbourne, pumping Nurofen only to say they could get drunk quicker, not making it back to the hotel room, only to be passed out on the doorway legless, i was left speechless how these guys party.. They are the real Party Harders, Back at home and with a to do list longer than Santas Naughty list, its going to be a long week. I hope you enjoy your week. The original will be released on Feb. 22 and you can catch the promo video for the original version here or download this remix by Numan. Crookers ft Miike Snow - Remedy (Numan Remix) The second track comes from the up and comers Pance Party who have been ripping it up lately. They remix this track from BlacKMahal who, based in the Bay Area, make surprisingly catchy Indo Hip-Hop. So, ya, this is an Electro Indo-Hip Hop. Bet you never thought you'd catch yourself involuntarily dancing to that, did you? BlacKMahal - Save the Flavour (Pance Party Remix) Here's some other great tunes you should give a listen to. I guarantee you'll enjoy them if you haven't already had the chance to. Watch out the Gucci Vump track is pretty goofy but gets in your head. The Crystal Method - Drown In the Now (Danger Remix) Just A Band - In Anima Vili Gucci Vump - Sha, Shtil! 2 Comments:

Inspired by the 80's, and with a love for epic tunes, it really does shine in his unique sound. His tracks are pretty damn heavy, with a hint of 80's/disco (Just the way i like it) and I must admit he is one of the best young Aussie producers that i have seen in a long long time. By Man & Vänner! posted by jono! | Monday, January 11, 2010 | 9:41 PM | jono@trashbags.net.au //Swedish MeatballsA ridiculously hot and sticky Monday comes to bear the bad news that weekend is over, but what a weekend it was. Cheers to Adelaide's Loot & Plunder Deejays and the Trashbags Posse DJ's for starting the year with a big f!#k off bang. Speaking of big f!#k off bangs, we segue neatly into Man & Vänner. The Swedish duo consists of Erik and Andreas who have recently traded in their time behind the decks to time in the studio, which seems to be producing some bad ass tracks. Maybe You Should Kill Your Father is taste of what's to come from these two; it's dirty, it's trashy, it's...well...to paraphrase salt and pepper, my kettle of fish. Check out their myspace here. By New Boys Noize and some Italo-Disco posted by Big Little | Friday, January 8, 2010 | 7:12 PM | bplittle@gmail.com ![]() Hey errbody I'm B Little, the new kid from Vancouver, Canada, eh, who'll be ravin aboot new tunes for you to listen/dance/rock out/party/study/get sexy to. Hope you enjoy as much them as much as I do. A-here we go. Boys Noize just finished up a remix of a track by The Editors called You Don`t Know Love. It will be released on the Editors' single on the 25th. It cruises along with very Boys Noize-y arpeggios till about halfway at 3:30 where he introduces more of the original track. From that point on they go on a beautifully intertwined journey till the 7:00 mark ending. Great remix. The Editors - You Don't Know Love (Boys Noize Remix) Over the holidays Boys Noize also gave us all a Christmas present which you may have missed out on during the festivities in by far the best Night by Night remix so far, in my opinion. Chromeo - Night by Night (Siriusmo Remix - Boys Noize Edit) Some Italian electronic music that`s not Crookers or Bloody Beetroots?! The lesser known Italian group, Fare Soldi, has been around for a while and have played with (or "battled against the forces of evil with" as they say on their Myspace) the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Mr Oizo, SebastiAn, and Crookers, among others. I love what they did to this vocal sample in Tutti Tutti Sempre Subito. Fare Soldi - Tutti Tutti Sempre Subito Clap Rules - Old Sequencer Clap Rules, another Italian group, are a fairly new group as far as I can tell. They play groove-disco and they record all the parts live thereby giving it a less of a produced feel... I guess kind of like a funky version of the Rapture or LCD Soundsystem. - Big Little 3 Comments:

big fan, that 11minute intro did my head in, gave a whole new (not so great) meaning to the driving death rave sound. SebastiAn and OIZO posted by digs | Monday, January 4, 2010 | 11:50 PM | info@trashbags.net.au //It's almost unbearable. . . thank god it goes somewhere.Wow... luckily it had to be sebastiAn, or else it would have been switched off 30 seconds into it. This Track of SebastiAn is annoying. But in saying that, 11minutes into this long track, it finally drops.. and its worth the drop.. exactly what sebastiAn does best, it drops hard. Not sure if you will withstand this, but if you do, its well worth it. Then we have Mr Oizo, sampling a pop song, Oizo does do things quite well, again this proves to have the Oizo sound, and is really catchy. Definitely worth dropping for any dj.
