This great spankin new new jakwob remix still has classic jakwob dubstep bass and drums but it also has acoustic guitar riffs... and i'm pretty sure tuba?! Between this track and his recent remix of jewish reggae artist Matisyahu it's getting harder and harder to cage Jakwob in as purely a Jakwobbler as he constantly proves that he can do much more. By MAINROOM MADNESS! posted by tucker | Thursday, July 29, 2010 | 11:50 AM | jaketux@gmail.com hello kids, with the opening of F.A.K.E next weekend at TANK nightclub, i figure i'd warm you all up with some mainroom monsters. i'll do you all a favour, and set the scene. it's 1am, you're trashed (as expected), you walk out into the alleyway for a cigarette along side the girl you've just met and hooked up with, when you realise she isn't as attractive as the minimal club lighting ensured you she was. you hear the wooden walls shaking, pump your smoke down, and run inside. you find your friends, and that monster track comes on that makes that forgetful hook up seem even more insignificant. these are those tracks, the tracks you hear and think 'holy shit'. the tracks that suit a massive soundsystem and get everyone in the club dancing like spastics. i introduce to you ALI NADEM. at the age of only 16, the future seems bright for this producer. hailing from oakville, canada, ALI NADEM shot to youtube fame. his tracks are as mainroom as they come, yet will thrash your insides. http://soundcloud.com/ali-nadem http://www.youtube.com/user/ToxikMuzik another youtube star, FAST FOOT has shown that mainroom can still be rough. the first track I heard from him, 'speakers killer v1.2' confirmed this, and the productions that followed proved this. hailing from moscow, russia, his style is mainroom, yet destructive. http://www.myspace.com/fastfootproject finally, one more mainroom monster from our true love DJ ANTENTION. the man from russia who cannot put a foot wrong has proven time and time again that he is the future. enjoy, and i'll see you all at the fake launch next saturday night! x 0 Comments:GRUM posted by jono! | Wednesday, July 28, 2010 | 5:41 PM | jono@trashbags.net.au Drive...Straight Through the Night...You there, reader! I'd do it myself, but with the confines of the internet and all, it makes it a tad difficult. To paraphrase salt and pepper; Veteran producer from leeds, GRUM, has just released his new track 'Straight Through The Night' with a stellar clip to support it. GRUM has the knack of consistently producing his unique brand of sound to an amazingly high calibre; Through The Night is no exception. By EUMIG & CHINON CRASH EP OUT posted by Big Little | | 1:00 AM | bplittle@gmail.com ![]() "the funk of Louis La Roche, the smoothness Breakbot, and the instincts of Daft Punk" were my accurate words on Eumig and Chinon back in January. Since then Eumig and Chinon won an Underground Music Award for “Best Electronic Act” and the band recently received the prestigious “Bandbase Grant” 2010. Now Eumig and Chinon's first EP, Crash is finally due out on the 24th of July! On the EP Christian Kastbjerg, the mastermind behind E&C collaborates with Jules Foisy on the track "Crash" creating a smooth Grum-like Disco feel. Give it a listen and def wait till at least till the vocals kick in. I've had it on repeat and it doesn't get old. CRASH (feat. Jules Foisy) by EumigAndChinon On the Crash EP there's another of my favourite E&C tracks which had previously been very hard to get a hold of. It's called BASH and it's eerily reminiscient of Daft Punk, and, in Copenhagen fashion, is about the effects of global warming. Think 'Technologic', add some funk and ecologically conscious (though equally random) lyrics. Good stuff. BASH by EumigAndChinon And here's the first E&C track that caught most people's attention. SO FUNKY! DATA/DEBT - California Special (Eumig and Chinon Remix) If you want to get a hold of E&C's CRASH EP on 24/7 you can find it at their label's website coyboyrecords.com You can also stream the rest of the EP on Eumig and Chinon's Soundcloud. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 1 Comments:

Andy Bell -Call On Me (Hey Champ Remix) 0 Comments:HOLY F**K posted by Big Little | | 3:45 PM | bplittle@gmail.com ![]() I just opened my Soundcloud Dashboard and saw that both Kolt13 and F.O.O.L have given raving reviews on a remix of a NEUS track by some fellar who calls himself Noisy Freaks. The artist name sounded so generic that I almost decided to forgo a listen, believing his sound will be equally generic. But when you see the blessings of those 3 electro juggernauts it's hard to say no. And man did I not regret it one bit. At all. The fact that I'm sharing this gift within minutes of hearing it is evidence of that fact. Despite that he has only only 2 tracks and 2 remixes, most of which have only been released within the month, yet already so so many fans, should be testament enough to his potential. It sounds like his sound has been tailor-made for TrashbagsKids. The fit is as snug as a magnum johnny as far as I'm concerned. Could be described as F.O.O.L's French brother, which I think FOOL would find a respectable comparison. Check it out, but cautiously adjust your speakers according to the desired adrenaline rush before listening. By YOU BELONG IN THE KEATCHEN posted by tucker | | 12:33 PM | jaketux@gmail.com hello again, although a string of producers hailing from belgium have recently been uncovered, another one deserves a mention. breaking into the scene quite some time go, 'KEATCH' is a man from belgium who means business. whilst managing his label 'keatchen records', which can expect quite a few upcoming releases from the likes of DISTRAKT, he still has time to create big bangers. his sound is very flowing, certain tracks are very ravey, whilst others are pure distortion. two tracks worth a mention are 'programmer' and 'melbourne sunset'. these tracks are bashed regularly by 'SMACKTOWN' but deserve more attention. although somewhat old, I had not really heard of them and was suprised when I did. when played loud (as all music should be) they cause mayhem, and kids go crazy. last weekend at 'TRASHBAGS' saw deathpits yet again, with people jumping around effortlessly to the sound of his tunes, which are destructive in nature. and with the unrequired approval of the likes of 'BOYS NOIZE' and 'LPP', it is clear to see why. programmer begins with a buildup of epic proportions, starting soft, then adding in rave style bleeps, you could say - a hint of what's to come. then, unexpectedly, the listeners ears are pleasantly suprised, yet ripped apart. melbourne sunset sets the tone with a nice synth and distortive backdrop. in the beatport preview, you'll assume that this is a pleasant synth track, yet a quick stop and pause throws the listener completely offguard, with a sub-climax that puts you into a false sense of security. the track then builds up again, with epic distortion, synth stabs, and 'sebastiAn' style vocal chops. he has also recently done a remix for 'FELIX CARTAL's track 'world class driver', released recently on DIMMAK records. this is an upbeat electro type of track, yet still holds true to the KEATCH sound. another notable mention is his remix of 'RAVE OUR SOULS' track 'rave battleweapon', which is an example of his versitility and rave sound. these tracks are worth a find/purchase as the beatport previews on his myspace really do not do them justice. http://www.myspace.com/keatchmusic check it! jake x 0 Comments:CHEMICAL posted by ray_ray | Monday, July 5, 2010 | 11:10 PM | ray@trashbags.net.au ![]() Snoopin around soundcloud and i came across the up and coming young Italian, Chemical, and boy has this cat got skill. Once i hit play on "Dust", i couldnt get enough, with its driving bass, hard hitting kicks and dramatic beat, you think you've just flicked on Danger, love it, really feeling that track. He makes sick sort of classic electro very reminiscent of the great Wolfgang Gartner(!), featuring organs, piercing string lines and even harpsichord, of course along side a healthy dose of distorted synth bass lines. He's still evolving and each track I hear is better than the next. Look out for the final edit of his track 'Horror' and his Remix of Data's track 'Rapture' which are coming out in the near future! In the mean time listen to these goodies!BEATBOT - Horror (Sample) BEATBOT - Future Daft Punk - Harder Better Faster Stronger (BEATBOT Remix) I know there are millions of HBFS remixes but BEATBOT's is legitimately one of my faves as it doesn't stray too far away from the original and actually improves on it in my opinion. Check out his Myspace and his Soundcloud for more tracks! 3 Comments:I'm a huge dissenter of Harder, Better remixes, but this one is my new fav!
